The Sprinter carpet tile is equipped with a bitumen backing so that it lies smoothly on the floor. This greatly reduces raised edges or corners. This results in the following three options for laying:
- Loose/glue-free laying
Due to its own weight, the tile can also be laid loosely (without gluing) in small, private rooms. All flat and smooth surfaces such as cement screed are suitable. Not possible on old coverings such as carpets, laminate or similar. - Installation tape
Laying with double-sided installation tape for carpets is also possible in private rooms. - Dispersion slip brake for self-laying carpet tiles
When used in heavily frequented rooms or in project areas a slip brake is used as a Floor recommended for fixation. This counteracts displacement caused by increased shear forces such as chair casters or movement of furniture.
With a dispersion slip brake, the tiles are held in place without slipping and individual carpet tiles can still be replaced (if necessary). The adhesive force of a slip brake is long-lasting and does not need to be reworked every time you change tiles.
