The air-water heat pump aroTHERM plus from Vaillant is particularly used in modernization because it can achieve high flow temperatures. Particularly when it comes to existing properties that are to be modernized, the question arises as to whether a heat pump is suitable in this case. Older houses are often heated with radiators that require high flow temperatures. This means that even systems with existing radiators that require flow temperatures of up to 55 °C can be operated efficiently.
Little space in the basement or other rooms? The aroTHERM is simply set up outside. With its modern, compact design, it cuts a fine figure anywhere in the garden. As an air-water heat pump, it uses the free environmental source of air to generate heat and conduct it via supply lines into the indoor unit in the boiler room.
The aroTHERM can easily be used even in dense buildings, e.g. B. can be used in terraced housing estates. The sound pressure level in night mode is only 46 dB(A) - this is roughly the same noise as a refrigerator. If the aroTHERM is placed three meters away, the sound pressure level is only 29 dB(A), which corresponds to the ticking of a wristwatch. With its 0.5 m² footprint, the quiet aroTHERM also takes up very little space in the garden.
An air-water heat pump uses the energy from air, water and soil. In addition, the heat pump can extract heat from the ambient air even at low temperatures of up to minus 20 degrees Celsius. This is because the refrigerant used evaporates even at this temperature. The heat pump sucks in the outside air via a fan. A refrigerant that is colder than the outside air circulates in the heat pump. The outside air now heats the refrigerant, which then evaporates. The steam is then compressed in the compressor, creating heat for the house. With the air-water heat pump, the rooms can also be cooled in summer. Here the heat pump absorbs the warm air from the rooms and leads it outside.
Please note that devices with a connection value of 230 V are delivered with a protective contact plug or a permanent connection (without plug), depending on the power value. If the device has a permanent connection, a specialist company should be commissioned with the installation. All devices with a connection value of 400 V or more must be operated via a suitable high-voltage connection and may only be connected by a qualified electrician. For devices with a nominal power of more than 12 KW, the consent of your network operator is required. Before installing, please contact the network operator or an installation company listed in the network operator's installer directory. Such an installation company will help you obtain the necessary consent from the respective network operator.
