The SCHÖNER WOHNEN color trend structure base color stone look is a solvent-free, plasticizer-free and also preservative-free wall and ceiling paint. This dispersion paint is highly opaque and drip-inhibited. The color is especially suitable for the system structure with SCHÖNER WOHNEN color trend structure effect glaze stone look.

Substrate Requirements / Pretreatment
The substrate should ideally be be smooth, even and slightly absorbent. The evenness and smoothness of the surface is crucial for the subsequent surface appearance.
You can also use SCHÖNER WOHNEN color trend structure base color stone look on structured surfaces (such as woodchip wallpaper). Depending on the surface, different results arise. If in doubt, a small test area can be created in an inconspicuous area in order to check the subsequent result.
Processing is carried out on dry, clean and stable surfaces. Allow new mineral plasters (e.g. lime cement plasters) to dry for at least four weeks beforehand. Brush or wash off distemper and chalky surfaces beforehand. Completely remove non-load-bearing and unsuitable wall/ceiling coatings (such as wallpaper that cannot be painted over). Prime strongly and unevenly absorbent surfaces with SCHÖNER-WOHNEN-Paint Universal-Tiefgrund or SCHÖNER WOHNEN-Paint Roll-Tiefgrund before processing.
Processing instructions / construction
Always stir well before use. Before starting work, moisten the paint roller and brush slightly with water so that the paint is absorbed better. Start at the window and apply the base color as the light falls. First start with a brush or small paint roller on corners and edges. The paint is then applied two to three strips wide using a paint roller and distributed evenly. Before you continue painting, roll the still wet surface vertically again without applying any pressure, overlapping slightly. Always paint contiguous surfaces wet on wet without interruption to avoid visible roots later. Remove any painter's tape or masking tape used before the SCHÖNER WOHNEN-Paint Base Color Stone Look has completely dried. Depending on the surface, two coats of paint may be necessary in order to later obtain an evenly covering surface appearance. For strongly contrasting surfaces, two coats of paint are absolutely necessary. Tools can be wrapped in foil or dipped into the paint if work is interrupted for a short time.
Drying time
At a room temperature of +20 °C, it can be overcoated with stone-look effect glaze after about six hours. At lower temperatures and/or higher humidity, drying time is extended accordingly.
