Always keep an eye on the humidity - the Homematic IP wall thermostat with humidity sensor
As part of the Homematic IP smart home system, the Homematic IP wall thermostat can be used to control several Homematic IP radiator thermostats in one room. The existing radio communication makes it easier to link the wall thermostat and the underfloor heating controller. The smart display not only shows the target and actual temperature values, but also automatically measures the humidity in the room. This means you can react quickly if the humidity is too high.
Easy to use: What's practical is that the wall thermostat can be easily controlled via voice control using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The thermostat can also be operated manually. This works very intuitively using the adjusting wheel in 0.5 °C increments. If electric heaters are used, they can be controlled via the Homematic IP switch socket. The so-called “boost mode” can be activated when the room needs to be fully heated up in just a few minutes. The countdown to the end of the rapid heating program is shown in the display of the wall thermostat. With the wall thermostat you can freely set 3 heating and 3 cooling profiles, each allowing up to 6 heating phases and 13 switching times per day.
Quick and easy setup: The thermostat can be installed in standard flush-mounted boxes. But thanks to the power supply with two AAA batteries and the radio communication, the wall thermostat can be placed anywhere in the room. Suitable screws and dowels as well as a set of double-sided adhesive tape are included. With its dimensions, the thermostat can even be integrated into multiple frames from leading manufacturers. Settings can also be made directly on the thermostat as required.
How it works:
A connection to one of the following solutions is required for operation: Either you use the separately available Homematic IP access point, which offers you a free smartphone app and a free cloud service, or you choose the CCU2 or CCU3 central unit, which can be controlled via the local WebUI user interface. Alternatively, third-party partner solutions are also available to flexibly integrate the system into your smart home environment.
