Installation
Proper preparation of the surface before installation is crucial for the longevity and appearance of the vinyl floor.
- Evenness: The surface should be even and smooth so that unevenness does not push through and damage the floor covering. Use a spirit level to check and, if necessary, level the floor with leveling compound.
- Cleanliness: The surface must be free of dust, dirt, grease and other contaminants to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Dryness: The surface must be dry so that moisture does not damage the vinyl floor.
- Temperature: The temperature of the surface should be maintained during installation not be below 15 °C.
- Strength and stability: For floating vinyl floors, the subsurface must be stable and load-bearing.
