The Bullet 47 kettle grill from Kingstone is ideal for grilling with the family on the terrace or in the garden.
Its ball is made of porcelain-enameled steel and has heat-resistant handles. The lid is equipped with a thermometer so that the temperature inside the grill can always be monitored.
Thanks to its Ø 47cm chrome-plated grill grate and the grill lid, the Bullet has ideal conditions for both direct and indirect grilling.
When grilling directly, the food to be grilled is placed directly over the hot embers and thereby cooked. The temperature of the grill is very high and the cooking time of the food is very short. The grill lid is not absolutely necessary for this.
When grilling indirectly, the food is not directly above the embers. Either the embers are placed on the outside of the grill or the food to be grilled. The size of the grill grate is therefore an important factor so that the food and embers are not directly on top of each other. This grilling method is very gentle due to the lower temperature. The lid should be used to keep the temperature in the grill constant. The food to be grilled is mainly cooked with radiant heat.
In addition to the amount of coal or briquettes, the ventilation sliders are a main factor in regulating the temperature in the kettle grill. The Kingstone Bullet has one in the lid that regulates the exhaust air and one under the ball that regulates the supply air.
To heat up the grill or to achieve the highest possible heat in the grill, both ventilation sliders should be opened completely. This creates a chimney effect in the cooking chamber, a slight negative pressure is created and more air is sucked in so that the coal burns better.
If the sliders are only opened halfway or a little, the temperature remains relatively constant and the smoke stays in the grill. This gives the grilled food a bit of a smoky aroma.
When both sliders are closed, the embers no longer get any air and the grill goes out after a few hours. This setting should therefore only be selected shortly before finishing the grilling process.
In general, you can and should experiment a bit with the settings of the ventilation sliders in order to get to know the grill better and find the right setting for the respective food to be grilled.
Under the ball there is an ash pan over which the Ashes can be disposed of easily and safely after grilling. As soon as the coal has turned to ash, it automatically falls through the coal grate into the ash pot.
The grill also has two wheels with which it can be pushed to the most beautiful corners of the garden. It still offers a high level of stability thanks to an additional supporting leg. So nothing stands in the way of a nice barbecue evening.
